Maintenance is key! A preseason check over could be the difference between a trouble-free season or being stranded when you need your power equipment the most. While not all break downs can be prevented, a thorough check over and preseason maintenance can at least give you the best chance of staying ahead of problems. Oil and filter changes, replacing spark plugs, lubing grease points, checking belts and pulleys, replacing or sharpening blades, checking for loose bearings, fresh fuel, or a quick carb clean can make all the difference. Putting off a small problem usually turns into a bigger more expensive problem if ignored and we want to prevent that if we can.
Labor rate
Current hourly rate for 2026 is $50.00 per hour with minimum of 1\2 an hour. If the equipment needs to be checked over/diagnosed, the cost to do so is an hour “50$” nonrefundable deposit before any work is started. If the equipment can be repaired in the hour diagnostic time or less, the cost of the diagnosis turns into hourly rate on the bill total and any prepaid deposit over the actual repair time will be refunded or applied to parts used. Beyond the time of initial diagnosis, if the customer wants an estimate, doing so will be billed at the hourly rate, and will include time for further disassembly/inspection and parts look up. All estimates are subject to change, that being said we will do our best to hit the mark, and if unforeseen circumstances will change the bill drastically, you will be notified before we proceed. If the equipment does not look like it is going to be economically feasible or smart for either of us to put time or money into upon drop off with just a quick visual inspection, we will tell you so, please don’t be offended. We don’t want to waste your money or our time. All bills will be paid in full before equipment is released or returned to you.
Pick up and delivery
Pick-up and delivery may be an option for those that don’t have a means to transport their equipment at our discretion and time availability. We service a 20 mile radius from our location at the rate of 2.00$ per mile, there and back, each way. If its 10 miles to your location that would be, 2.00$ per mile x 4 trips = 8.00$ “there and back twice” x 10 miles = 80.00$ pick-up and delivery fee. This fee is to cover our operating cost and a portion of our labor to be able to serve you better. Pick up and drop off times will be a general time of day not an exact time due to unforeseen circumstances that may arise. You need not be there at time of pick-up or drop off if you give us instructions where the equipment is to be picked up or dropped off and the deposit is paid at or before pick-up and final bill is paid at or before drop off. If you are not comfortable leaving your equipment out, we can call before pick up or delivery if necessary. If you forget to put your equipment out, call us and we can reschedule. Payment can be made prior to drop off or left somewhere at the premises prearranged before delivery. If payment is not left on premises the equipment will not be returned and additional delivery/storage fees will apply. Extenuating circumstances “if the equipment is stuck in the middle of a field with flat tires or is difficult to access” may incur additional labor time added to the bill. We do not pick up small handheld equipment that can be hauled in a car as its not economically smart or fair to you and may push the cost of repair over the worth of the equipment.
Customer service agreement
All bills will be paid in full upon completion and equipment will remain in our possession until bill is paid. We will take any reasonable means to contact you at the contacts we have available “call, text, email if given” to notify you that your equipment is done. 7 days after notice of completion of work performed, any outstanding bill will incur a storage/late fee of 1.00$ per day up to 45 days unless payment arrangements have been made at notice of completion. After 45 days we will consider the equipment abandoned and hold the right to resell or part out the equipment to recoup our losses. Communication is key, call us and we will try to come to an agreement that works for both of us. If the customer pre-approves repairs on a unit, we will not call, text, or otherwise communicate with the customer until the equipment is finished. Customer agrees to pay for the completion of work pre-approved before taxes. Equipment may have to be stored outside on our premises due to limited inside storage space. We are fully insured should something happen to your equipment in our possession. Some specific parts of equipment like John Deere plastic hoods are especially fragile and are not covered for damages in transport or while in our possession and its recommended they are removed from the machine before transport. This applies to plastic/vinyl tractor cabs or snowblower cabs as well and may be removed before transport to prevent damage at the cost of the customer if the plastic/vinyl cover is in good enough condition it can be removed without damage. Plastic/vinyl cabs get brittle and hard with age and cold temperatures don’t help either, we will not be responsible for any damages whether it’s in transport or removal/installation to any plastic/vinyl cabs or windows though we’ll use our best discretion to prevent any damages from occurring.
Warranty
All repairs and services performed for residential use customers will come with a 30 day parts coverage ‘”unless part manufacture warranty is longer than 30 days” against defects. All labor and workmanship will come with a 90 day coverage against defects only on repairs performed by us that is not deemed to be caused by abuse, accidents, neglect, or lack of maintenance of the equipment by the operator. This applies to residential equipment only and coverage is up to our discretion. Commercial equipment will come with a 30 day warranty for parts, labor, and workmanship also up to our discretion negating abuse, accidents, neglect, or lack of maintenance. Wear items like blades, belts, batteries, air filters, oil filters, spark plugs, and O-rings are the responsibility of the warranty holder “the customer” to replace or maintain and are generally not covered under warranty unless part is deemed to have a manufacture defect. Dulling of saw chains or blades, consumables like shear pins, belts burnt or broken due to hitting an object or engagement of stuck or frozen implements are not covered under warranty. Warranties are not transferable and are only available to the original owner “warranty Holder” work was performed for. Incidents involving running bad fuel or contaminated fuel “water in fuel” or improperly mixed fuel, after repairs were performed are not covered under warranty and will be billed at full labor rate. Pick-up/delivery fees will also apply if it’s deemed the damage or repairs are not covered by warranty. Warranty period starts from the time work is completed not the time the equipment is picked up by you or delivered by us. The customer is responsible for checking oils and fluids prior to each use and perform periodic maintenance according to the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule. Any parts covered under warranty will be shipped standard freight, expedited freight will be responsibility of the customer. Accessories to the machine are not covered under a repair warranty for unrelated work performed on the machine. Damages or repairs needed after work being performed that are unrelated to the initial repair the customer was billed for are not covered under warranty. Dry Creek Services LLC shall not be liable under any circumstances for any incidental or consequential damages or expenses of any kind, including but not limited to, cost of equipment rentals, loss of profit, or cost of hiring services to perform task normally performed by your equipment.
equipment recycling
We also will take your old unwanted equipment instead of it ending up in the local landfill. We will strip down and use what parts we can to continue serving our customers and ensure that at least part of your old equipment lives on and doesn’t end up in the trash. Parts for older equipment become obsolete or unavailable more and more every day. Many manufactures discontinue making certain parts as soon as 5 years from date of manufacture to make it more difficult to repair your equipment and ensure you’re back in the store to buy a new model sooner or unfortunately many manufactures have just gone out of business making acquiring OEM parts impossible. Your junk could be the treasure that keeps your neighbor’s equipment running another season or visa versa. The use of used parts could also be the deciding factor whether someone can afford to keep their equipment running or not. Give us a call to set up a time to drop it off or for us to pick it up and give that old equipment a chance to help keep another machine alive!
Safety switches
All safety switches will be operational before equipment leaves our possession. Cost of safety switches or repairs to safety system will be at owners expense regardless of what equipment was initially brought in for. We will not modify or bypass any safety system for any reason whatsoever.
